Stayed here from Sept. 8th-10th in a 30 foot pull behind camper trailer. The first night we stayed in the electric Loop spot 4. The playground restrooms and boat ramp were a close close walk. second night we stayed in the pinon Campground(non electric). Beautiful views of the lake from this side. There are bathrooms close by and the walk to the lake was straight down from our camp spot. It was a little steep but I was able to carry my 18 month old on my hip and navigate down. Spaces in the campground are nice and not too close together and also include a picnic table and fire pit. Most spaces seem to be able to accommodate a trailer, tent, and vehicle or 1 large tent and car. Campground is clean and roads are well kept the only con I can find in the place is the blue green algae otherwise would have been 5 stars. Will update as I go back:)
Oh, keep in mind, this was a Sunday and I was here before Memorial Day & all the kid's are out of school.
Very nice park! A canyon on one side a lake on the other. Electric only, dump station...they were working on fresh water when we were there so by next season they should have it. On my list for a do again!
This place is awesome, I'll totally return! Everyone was friendly, it was quiet, on the water, dog friendly, boat friendly, and you can go fishing - lot's of yummy fish. I'm so happy I took the longer path here, it was totally worth every moment!
In talking with locals, due to all the rain/snow, this is the highest the lake has been in over ten years!
I spent a few weeks here and absolutely love this place. There are RV and tent sites that can be reserved either with or without electric. The RV dump station was under construction at the time. The lake has a bit of blue green algae, but is still really beautiful.
The night sky we witnessed in mid June is beyond words to express. I've never seen so many twinkling stars in all my life! On top of that... I saw the Milky way! We will keep Bluewater Lake on the map for our next family vacation.
